One Piece: manga outperforms Naruto, Bleach, Attack on Titan and My Hero Academia

One Piece: manga outperforms all other series

The best manga of the last decade? Perhaps some think that no and that, by history, there are better. However, statistics say otherwise. One Piece is the best selling anime in the last ten years.

Through Twitter, the user published a curious video where they use StatsCulture data, in which you can see the various figures of the best-selling manga between 2008 and 2018.

The video begins with One Piece ahead of sales to well-known sleeves such as Naruto and Bleach. However, it is the latter that, during 2009, begins to slide with Fairy Tail, taking fourth and fifth place.

In 2010, the shonen genre had a small push thanks to Kimi ni Todoke, ranking among the top three, while fighting Naruto for second place. In that year, new titles such as Gintama, Toriko and even Full Metal Alchemist appeared.

It is in 2013 when things change, Shingeki no Kyojin moves Naruto to fifth place and takes second place, being one of the few sleeves to almost take first place to One Piece. However, the Mugiwaras sagas retained it first.

In both 2017 and 2018, My Hero Academia managed to position itself in second place, beating the Titans. Despite the rise of several shonen titles, none of them could overthrow One Piece.

What year did One Piece originated?
Like most anime, the One Piece is an animated adaptation of the manga. Produced by Toei Animation, the anime series One Piece first time premiered in Japan on Fuji TV on October 20, 1999.
