Azur Lane is a shoot ‘em up of free to play lateral scroll with micropayments for Android and iOS devices. The game was released in their home country in May 2017 and in Japan in September of that same year. Also in development is Azur Lane Crosswave, the first game in the franchise to jump to consoles and which Compile Heart is taking care of its development for PlayStation 4. This will go on sale in Japan on August 29 and in the West throughout next year 2020.

Azur Line introduces historic World War II warships to epitomize them as beautiful “moe” style girls. With a strong role-playing and strategic character, the player will manage a fleet of ships with which he will have to deal with side-trip shooting combats with mechanisms similar to those presented in the Touhou Project franchise. This franchise currently enjoys some popularity in Asia and also has an English version for the Western market, which can be downloaded now. It has also given rise to a broad catalog of marketing.
